To put it in more detail, all cars start with a baseline number.for the sake of argument, let's just say we have a car with a 500 base rating, and lets say each upgrade, no matter what it is, is worth 20 points. Simplistically, you can look at it as nothing more than a way to keep people with almost stock cars running against people with upgraded cars.

You don't need to be in the 'weirdest possible car.' You just need to understand how the class rating works. It seems that you have to be in the weirdest car possible to be the best at the game, well i give up, ranked is not even ranked, you just be matchmaked even with top grandmaster players, there's also like toxic teams that actually work together to get an advantage, a car pull up in front of me so that i crash into him and the other team car goes by me, it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pathetic and stupid, i rather wait for forza horizon 5 and just plays offline instead, save myself the headache and anger within me People who know what they need to tweak to get the most out of every car will have an advantage over yourself.

On top to the normal upgrade parts you can manually tune so much stats. Maybe you go for best handling, the next guy with the same car goes for top speed and the 3rd goes for acceleration. In lower classes it is much more important what you are tuning on your car. Even two identical cars with the same rating could be totally different in case of top speed, handling, etc. Note that I wouldn't dare drive a Mini with this spec in real life - I would be pooping my pants the whole time.Originally posted by Erdbeermilch:Two cars having the A800 class doesn't mean anything. I got this by driving a car that I was having tons of fun driving, and that's the Barn Find Mini with the power up as high as possible, drift suspension & Horizon tires - it drifts fabulously on roads, is small enough that you don't clip most things, and when 4WD it can pull easily on long drifts - I didn't get most of the skills using Demon Fox's solution of the beach, instead I was just driving around the countryside, finding Boards, Barn Finds and roads. Something not mentioned in the other 2 solutions, you DO NOT have to buy the top/left skill on the box - it's the one with the number at the bottom of the tile - this is to do with getting boosts for a number of races, so it'll clear out & go grey again, so it doesn't count as a skill.
